Sr. Application Developer

Asset & Wealth Management provides investment advice and management for institutions and individuals. With combined assets under supervision in excess of $1 trillion, we are one of the largest asset and wealth managers in the world. We serve four distinct client groups through three businesses: institutions through JPMorgan Asset Management; high-net-worth clients through the Private Bank; affluent clients through Private Client Services; and consumer clients through JPMorgan Asset Management. We actively manage the majority of client assets, drawing on our global investment expertise in equities, fixed income, real estate, hedge funds, private equity and liquidity, including both money market instruments and bank deposits. We also provide trust and estate services to high-net-worth and affluent clients and retirement services.

 

Job Responsibilities:
Participate in project requirements review session with project team.
Review completed requirements documents delivered by Plan partners and business analysts;
Review technical specifications to build viable and architecturally sound solutions. Escalate functional specification gaps / issues.
Implement the designs (code, test, deploy);
Support the deployed application through debugging, fixing, and maintenance releases.
Understand the current application and technical architecture.
Provide status and escalate project issues to the appropriate parties.
Demonstrated ability to work directly with technical personnel to meet project milestones.
Stay abreast of new technology and methods to optimize development for the project.
Understanding of the software development lifecycle and the ability to implement software following a structured approach.
Ability to work with a remote development team.



Requirements

10+ years development with :

? Java / J2EE (+)

? Java SWING

? XML including XML Schema and XSLT

? HTML / JavaScript / CSS / DHTML

 

5+ years development with :

? Sybase, SQL stored procedures

? CORBA

? C/C++,Tuxedo

 

Tools:

? IBM Websphere, WSAD 5.1, RAD 6.0

? Experience of web architecture and infrastructure

 

Desirable:

? Finance / Banking
