Sr. Application Programmer (Must be U.S. Citizen)
One of our clients, a Fortune 500 company and leading government consulting firm in the DC metro area, has an immediate need for a Sr. Application Programmer to support their growing Federal division in Washington, DC.
The ideal candidate will have experience:
1) In the federal sector
2) In a major Systems Integrator (Booz Allen, CSC, Bearing Point, Lockheed, ect)
3.) VB / Oracle / SQL Scripting
4.) Systems Design Specifications
1. Senior Application Programmer ? Skilled senior level application programmer for DOJ project to provide Internet access to public domain documents and selected data. Must have 8-10 years experience in MicroSoft-based programming, including Visual Basic programming language, Oracle db Schema, and SQL scripting. Experience with document management systems, such as Documentum, is a plus. Analyzes systems specifications and designs, develops, modifies, and installs highly complex and customized software. Conducts detailed analyses of defined system specifications, and prepares a wide variety of computer programs, associated documentation, block diagrams, and logic flow charts. Takes system design specifications and customizes software to meet application requirements. Enhances software to reduce operating time or improve efficiency. Modifies existing software, as well as creates special-purpose software to ensure efficiency and integrity between systems and applications. Tests, debugs, and refines software to produce the required product. May include programming experience with database systems such as Sybase, Oracle, and Informix; and knowledge of document imaging, document management, and workflow COTS systems (e.g., InfoImage, Paragon). May provide daily supervision and direction to staff. Must be a U.S. Citizen and capable of successfully completing NACI security clearance. This is a full-time position in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Candidate must be capable of working on a team.
