Job Description:
The IBM Applications Programmer reports to the IBM Systems Project Manager. The position provides IBM mainframe application programming support for the PULSE Houston production and certification and PULSE Dallas disaster recovery settlement, reporting, and ACH applications.

SKILLS
Required:
1.Maintain and support the production PULSE Houston eFunds settlement and reporting platform for report distribution and ACH disbursement (primary processing site).
Maintain and support the production PULSE Dallas eFunds settlement and reporting platform for report distribution and ACH disbursement (disaster recovery site).
2.Maintain and support the development and certification PULSE Houston eFunds settlement and reporting platforms for report distribution and ACH disbursement (primary processing site).
3.Provide on-call application programming support 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
4.Implement eFunds settlement and reporting software release upgrades and interim software fixes.
5.Implement new eFunds settlement and reporting products.
6.Analyze, design, code, test, certify, and implement ad-hoc settlement and reporting programs.
7.Maintain application policies and procedures for the eFunds settlement and reporting platform (primary production site and disaster recovery site).
8.Participate in audits (internal and external).
9.Stay abreast of current IBM mainframe products and technology.
10.Participate in IBM mainframe forums and user group meetings.
11.Participate in eFunds mainframe settlement user group meetings.
12.Participate in settlement project status meetings with eFunds IBM Help Desk.

Internal and external relationships will include the following:

1.Consults with VP Manager of Application Systems and Programming.
2.Consults with IBM Systems Project Manager.
3.Consults with IBM Systems Support Specialist.
4.Consults with PULSE business units (Certification, User Acceptance Testing, Online Database, PIX2 (Technical Support), and Accounting).
5.Consults with eFunds Help Desk on new mainframe application releases, application fixes, and new settlement products.
6.Consults with Data Center Operations.
7.Consults with Discover Integration Team for offline settlement and reporting processing.
8.Consults with Tandem Application Support on online transaction interface between the IBM and Tandem platforms.
9.Consults with Talisen Technologies, Inc. on settlement report format from IBM to FTP report distribution server.
10.Consults with JPMorganChase ACH processing centers in Tampa, FL. and Somerset, NJ.
11.Provides NDM technical and application support to PULSE Processor community.
12.Consults with internal and external audit vendors.


Desired:
Technical educational background required. Ideal candidate must have 5 to 7 years experience w/ working knowledge of spreadsheets, all Microsoft Office Products, computer languages and other HP Service Desk, FTP Gateway Server (PULSE Rpt Viewing), COBOL, ALC, IBM third party vendor software products
