Sr Business Analyst- Front Office
Senior Business Analyst - Front Office/ Risk: Business Support Team ? New York Business Center
Business Analyst in the New York Business Center will provide high quality business and product expertise to Summit's clients and prospects. The position has two key dimensions ? domain responsibility and client account management responsibility.
Domain Responsibility:
The Summit product suite provides broad instrument coverage and powerful front, middle and back office functionality. Domains are defined as specific product/functional sectors for which business and system expertise are provided. Business Analysts (BA) are assigned responsibility for one or more domain areas. As a front office and risk analytics domain specialist, the BA will specify new system functionality, provide sales support, perform implementation tasks and support the product. Examples of domain areas include trading and risk management support for specific products (i.e. Derivatives ? Interest Rate/ Credit/ Equity, Structured Products, Fixed Income, Treasury, FX Options) and cross product front office functionality (i.e. VaR, Credit Risk, Market Risk). BAs are urged to learn constantly, leading to rotation to new domains and fostering personal development. For each domain area assigned, the BA will: Answer client questions relating to domain Expand and manage the on-line knowledgebase Perform gap analyses and write functional specifications for client enhancement requests Provide user training and develop training materials Conduct sales presentations/workshops/evaluations - and refine related materials Replicate and track client reported bugs Respond to RFPs and RFIs as part of sales process Participate in dialogue with product developers to inform and educate on emerging issues in the market place
Client Account Management Responsibility:
Business Analysts are assigned one or more client accounts to manage. The BA is the primary conduit for all dialogue between the client and Summit. BAs must monitor all reported issues for each client and ensure each issue is being acted upon by appropriate members of the team. For each account managed, the BA will: Ensure all client issues are resolved satisfactorily Maintain client status Manage system implementations
? Understand the client?s short, medium and long range business objectives
Requirements:
? At least BS/BA degree
? 5+ years experience with Fixed Income and/or Derivatives markets
? Strong analytical and problem solving skillsAbility to work independently with minimal training in a fast paced environment geared to individuals who are good multi-taskers.
? Experience completing business analysis and writing specifications for new functionality a plus
? Experience with project management/system implementations a plusIdeal candidates will have superior troubleshooting skills, excellent communication and presentation skills
