Sr. Business Systems Analyst - Mobility
The United Illuminating Company (UI), headquartered in New Haven, CT, is an investor-owned regional electric utility that provides service to more than 314,000 customers in the Greater New Haven and Bridgeport area. We are looking for an exceptional individual to join our team in our Shelton facility.
This position will provide system administration and business analysis services related to mobile solutions at Electric System. Support will include device level support (MDTs etc) as well as application support (SPL Mobility). This role will utilize sound business knowledge as well as technical expertise in working collaboratively toward technology solutions. Responsible for system administration tasks including but not limited to configuration, maintenance, upgrades, debugging, reporting, coordination of issue resolution. Ability to effectively communicate with both Functional and IT resources regarding systems needs and issues. Proactively follow research and developments related to mobile and related business applications. Working closely with IT and business area stakeholders, make recommendations, and participate in defining strategic direction for mobile solutions. Provide backup for Meter Services system administrator supporting SPL Mobility product, including device level (MDT etc) support to field crews. Work schedules will need to support crew first shift.
Position requires a bachelor's degree in business, computer science or other technical discipline in a related field. Experience with any of the following is a plus:
- SPL Mobility application or applications supporting mobile dispatch of work to field crews
- Understanding of relational databases and SQL / Understanding of project life cycle methodology.
