Sr. Buyer

These positions are based out of Arlington, VA.  FNS is looking for Senior Buyers that understand the basic Procurement process and international procurement.  This position includes purchasing a variety of standard services, according to defined policies and procedures, with considerable latitude for judgment on price, quality, and delivery details. Negotiates purchase orders with suppliers of manufactured non-standard items according to company specifications. Meets with vendor sales representatives to place or modify orders and to expedite shipments. Conducts vendor surveys; evaluates responses; performs price and cost analyses

Required Skills and Experience:5-8 years experience in Procurement, with knowledge of the FAR required. 4 years experience in a senior buyer position. Must understand basic procurement process. For candidates that have international procurement experience, candidates must have a strong background with international shipping costs and procedures.  Must have knowledge of basic spreadsheets, use of computer, knowledge of MS Word and Excel spreadsheets, good math skills and a strong command of the English Language and ability to multi-task without supervision. Must have experience in interfacing with Program and Project Managers. Candidate must also have strong understanding for File Setup per FAR and CPSR requirements.

A security clearance is a plus. Candidate must be able to obtain a clearance.
