Sr DBA or DBA Team Lead- Asset Management Applications

My client is a huge $50 billion+ financial institution in NYC. They are looking to hire a FULL TIME EMPLOYEE- THIS IS NOT A CONTRACT OPENING- to manage their investment databases. In order to do this you MUST understand financial products and preferably have financial asset management experience. Responsibilities:

 

* Manage Application Databases

* Oversee staff in researching data issues and resolve them

* Optimize data bases and recommend tuning enhancements

* Analyze and resolve Oracle problems

* Lead others in designing and developing reports using Sql Reporting Services

 

Required:

 

* 7+ yrs Oracle admin + either SQL Server and/or Sybase, preferably both

* Management of performance and capacity testing on these platforms

* Financial Asset Knowledge REQUIRED, Asset Management Applications PREFERRED!!!

* UNIX/Perl scripts

* Developing data models

* Strong communication skills- oral and written

 

Preferred:

 

* Eagle data model strongly preferred!!

* Embarcadero tools

* ERWIN

* IBM Datastage and Oracle Performance Pack
