General Job Summary

Kelley Blue Book Co., Inc. (KBB) contains three product groups consisting of Hardware/Software Services, Consumer Products and e-Commerce & Syndication Products.  The Hardware/Software Services group produces ASP web-based software products, supports existing client-server applications and associated hardware products for sale, and licensing to our automotive dealership and other customers.  CDMData, Inc. (CDM) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of KBB, located in Scottsdale, Arizona, which provides hardware, software and services to automotive clients.  The Senior Director, Hardware-Software Services is responsible for all aspects of Information Technology at CDM.

Job ResponsibilitiesLeadership, mentoring, training and management of staff and consulting resources, including Software Engineers, Project Management, Business Analyst, Quality Assurance, Infrastructure Engineering, Help Desk, Desktop Support, and Production Support Technicians.Will interface closely with Senior Management at CDM and KBB.Effectively partner and champion of business initiatives within IT and IT initiatives within the business.Ensure that KBB and CDM best practices, standards, policy, process and procedures are trained and enforced.Product Development Life CycleSoftware Development Life Cycle (SCRUM)Quality AssuranceConfiguration/Release ManagementTechnical Support (Software & Mechanical)Production OperationsTo lead and participate in continuous process improvements.Facilitates and ensures IT priority management alignment with business needs.

Required Skills, Attributes & Education4 year Bachelor?s degree in a technical discipline10+ years experience managing IT Operations and Engineering teams at a senior IT level5+ years experience working at a Senior IT level in entrepreneurial company (ies) of 100 or less persons, desired but not required.5+ years experience supporting web-based applications with high-transaction and high-availability requirements.5+ year?s experience designing and developing object-oriented, n-tier applications, with reusability in mind, using design patterns, as applicable.3+ years managing the use of Microsoft technologies, including: ASP .NET, VB.NET, C#.NET, COM+/COM/DCOM, MTS, MSMQ, and SQL 2000.Experience developing and supporting automotive industry applications and systems helpful, but not required.
