Sr. Engineer, Oracle DBA (Job #1108)

Job Description:
Duties & Responsibilities

Requirements analysis and impact analysis (scope change costing)
Database performance tuning, backup, and recovery
Operational process development, requirement management, design, development and monitoring of the Oracle databases
Cross-functional stakeholder coordination, trouble management, full software development lifecycle, integration and system test, and operational support
Logical and physical data modeling
Vendor management
7x24 operations support
Change control and configuration management
Fault management and trouble management
Continuous monitoring of industry trends through networking, seminars, and trade publications
Working with peer IT teams to create and implement long-term database management solutions


Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no fixed supervisory responsibilities


Education and/or Experience

Minimum 5 years experience in managing complex IT environments
Excellent troubleshooting & communication skills
Experience in consumer subscriber management business, like:

Sun Solaris
Oracle RDBMS (9i, 10g), SQL server
SQL, Java, Perl, Shell scripts
Client/server, N-tier architecture


Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
Network Management system
Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
Billing systems
Distributed systems environment
OLAP tools/report writers

B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) Certification a plus.
