Sr. IT Project Portfolio Analyst

MSD is an employee-owned company of over 600 professionals who support the diverse technical, scientific, and administrative needs of the Federal government. We are currently searching for a Sr. IT Project Portfolio Analyst to support one of our clients. This opportunity is permanent, full-time, and on site in New Carrollton, MD.
The successful candidate is be part of an Integrated Project Team (IPT) for the IRS Investment Decision Support Services (IDSS)office.The IDSS office enables the prioritization and selection of IT investments by employing mature processes to deliver solution concept and cost estimation services. IDSS coordinates the establishment of business needs and documents domain strategies in the Five Year Vision & Strategy plan which depicts how approved investments (projects) align with the capabilities required to deliver the domain strategies.
The successful candidate head teams to accomplish the following activiites:
? Assisting the customer, business domain representatives and project sponsors, define the scope of capabilities required to address the business opportunities, or areas targeted for improvement, within their area or domain of business
? Designing conceptual or logical level solutions (Solution Concepts)
? Developing Very Rough Order of Magnitude (VROM) cost estimates
? Coordinating MITS budget formulation for approved projects and
? Facilitating technology and business integration assessments for common services, infrastructure, and input to Enterprise Transition Strategy (ETS) for the IRS?s proposed portfolio
