Sr. Information Analyst - Reporting

PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Participate in the analysis, development, and support of reporting initiatives within the firm, primarily using the firm's SAP Business Warehouse (BW) application and additional reporting tools such as Crystal Reports.? Accountable for full project life cycle, with emphasis on report design and development.?
- Analyze and interpret existing reporting systems which utilize
technologies including Visual Basic/FoxPro, MS Access, MS Excel, and SQL Server.
- Develop SAP BW queries using SAP BW tools such as Business Explorer (BEx) and Web Application Designer.? Create highly formatted BW reports using web development technologies and third party tools such as Crystal Report Designer and VBA Macros within Excel-based BW workbooks.? Work with SAP Portal team to link reports to Firm Information Portal as required.
- Consult with users and project team members to gather, interpret, and document reporting requirements; work with the SAP BW Development Team in creation of data model and data access methods to support reporting projects.
- Use technical knowledge of SAP BW in addition to knowledge of reporting systems and business processes to assist in supporting report users.
- Analyze and communicate reporting issues, including problems with data integrity, data design, and functional and technical software issues.
- Report status, communicate
project issues, and participate in project meetings and planning.

PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Business Information Systems preferred OR relevant technical training OR equivalent work experience.
- 5-8 years IT experience, a minimum of 3 years with SAP products desired. Minimum one-year experience with SAP BW 3.0 or higher is required.? Experience with multi-dimensional data models and general data warehouse concepts is beneficial.
- SAP BW experience required; SAP R/3 experience helpful.? Familiarity with concepts such as time dependent master data in SAP BW is beneficial.
- Experience with SAP BW Business Explorer (BEx) and SAP BW Web Application Developer is required.? Also JavaScript experience is required. Experience with Crystal Reports, Microsoft Excel Programming and VBA, web application development including HTML and SQL is a plus.
- Familiarity with Project Development Lifecycle methodology a must, ASAP
methodology preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and multi-tasking skills, as well as communication and interpersonal skills.?
- Ability to maintain confidential nature related to the firm's financial and management data.
