Sr Internet Software Developer (.Net)

We have a great development opportunity with our client in the financial industry.

This is a contract to permanent position and candidates will be required onsite in Columbus, GA.

Responsibilities:
With minimal supervision, develop and build applications within fast-paced object oriented environments. Must mentor developers and junior developers in software application development as needed. Take business requirements from Business Analysts/Architects to develop applications, functions, and processes. Responsible for unit testing for development assignments. Detail-oriented and ensure follow-through on issues. Must be able to work on and manage multiple tasks in addition to working and leading other developers. Must have strong communication skills. Must work closely with project analysts to meet estimated production dates for client. Responsible for application enhancement; meeting the needs of ongoing efforts within software platforms. Record and track time worked on projects and assignments. Develop an understanding of our client, software platforms, and the credit card industry.

Quickly develop an excellent understanding of project development/management processes, methodology, and the impact of the project management metrics. Participate in and lead team, department, and division meetings as required.

 

Required Skills:
* 4 year college degree and 4 or more year?s professional experience or

* 6 or more year?s professional experience 

* Proficient with Visual Studio .NET IDE and with the .NET framework

* Strong skills in Microsoft Visual C# .NET, Microsoft Visual Basic .NET, Microsoft ADO .NET and ASP .NET * Some experience in Web Services: XML, WSDL, SOAP, and UDDI, along with some experience in SQL Server 2000, database design, SQL stored procedures, and transact SQL

* Experience with full systems lifecycle design and development, including some business process analysis experience

* Some Experience building and architecting both Internet and client server applications

* Enterprise systems integration experience

* Knowledge of and experience with transactional database access concepts

* Experience with development methodologies

* Knowledge of application-level security concepts

* Experience developing/integrating .NET based application frameworks

 

Preferred Skills:


* Microsoft certifications are a plus 

* Candidates with formal experience in known Object Oriented methodologies will receive special consideration. This includes UML, RUP, and tools including Rational Rose and/or TogetherJ

* Project or team management experience developing highly scalable, highly available enterprise applications is a plus
