Sr. Lead Software Engineer

Permenant opportunity for a Sr. or Lead Software Engineer. Experienced engineer and implementer of HP/Peregrine's ServiceCenter, AssetCenter, Get-Answers. Responsibilities will include coordination of technical activities through all phases of the software development lifecycle - analysis, design, configuration, development, testing, documentation and installation. Assists in the development of practical approaches and high-level designs to address business requirements. Interprets and maintains software development guidelines and processes. Provides leadership and mentoring to engineers, ensuring development standards and guidelines are followed. Responsible for coordinating infrastructure requirements with infrastructure support and operational groups. Current projects include upgrade of HP/Peregrine's ServiceCenter to version 6.x, implementation of software asset management in AssetCenter and other technical efforts related to these suites as well as Get-Answers and Connect-IT.


Required Skills:  (Essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to:)

* Strong knowledge of the HP/Peregrine suite of applications and their core architecture.

* Experience with testing methods and tools.

* Proficient knowledge of relational databases, including but not limited to Oracle and SQL Server.

* Proficient knowledge of UNIX and Windows environments.

* Proficient knowledge of SQL.

* Experience with large systems development efforts involving multi-platform environments, data conversions and integration to other applications.

* Bachelor"s degree from four year college or university (or equivalent experience).

* 5+ years of related experience in software development, systems analysis and design; including graphical user interface design, process and data modeling, customization of packaged software and systems integration; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

* 3+ years implementing and/or developing applications within the suite of HP/Peregrine products.

* 3+ years experience as a Software Engineer or 5-7+ years as a Senior or 7-15+ years as a Lead on Enterprise level application development project using Client/Server technology. 

* Strong knowledge of the HP/Peregrine suite of applications and their core architecture.
