Sr.Manager of Storage

The Senior Manager of Storage at Kaiser Permanente directs the development and implementation of storage management processes, procedures, guidelines and standard operating procedures in support of infrastructure architecture objectives. This individual develops and promotes the automation of storage
event management to ensure that availability service levels are maintained, and manages all
departmental budgeting with accountability for both capital and operating budgets.

As a Senior Manager of Storage you will build and maintain a talented and motivated technical team;align departmental activities with desired strategies required to attain business results; ensure that the department is compliant with all process management standards; manage vendor relationships as they relate to storage hardware and software technologies; and lead efforts to continuously improve upon storage asset utilization to reduce overall operating costs for storage.

Requirements for this position include 15 years of experience in enterprise IT engineering and/or operations; 10 years of management experience; and 5+ years of experience designing and managing
large storage environments (NAS, SAN, Virtual Tape, backup and restoration products/devices). Also needed is health care or financial services experience; critical data systems experience; and a Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.

Preferred qualifications include 10+ years of storage engineering and operations experience; consulting
experience; large-scale project management experience; and a Master?s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Technology Management.
