Senior Network Administrator



We are presently seeking to fill the position of Sr. Network Administrator. This individual would be responsible for keeping our network in good working order by performing network maintenance and upgrades, installation of new software and hardware, and provide support and training to end users.


Position requires experience with network operating systems (Citrix, Netware 5.1, Windows 2000, XP, Server 2003) and with various network applications including but not limited to SQL Server, GroupWise 7, ArcServe, FaxServe, and Norton Antivirus.


Essential Responsibilities:



1. Maintain network functionality for servers, workstations, and miscellaneous peripherals.

2. Maintain network and application security.

3. Review system logs and resolve any issues.

4. Ensure daily data backup for corporate office and weekly backup for remote locations.

5. Install software and hardware on workstations and servers.

6. Maintain up to date documentation of network configuration including asset inventory.

7. Provide technical support and application training for LAN and WAN users.

8. Assist with IT Department projects.



Additional Skills Required:

- Good verbal communication skills

- Knowledge of internet connectivity (DSL, cable modem, dial-up)

- Ability to use the internet and/or communicate with vendors to troubleshoot errors

- Have a flexible work schedule as many tasks will have to be done at night or on weekends when the network can be offline
