Sr Network Engineer

Position: Senior Network Engineer / Architect located in  Portland Oregon, Vancouver WA area

Salary: Up to $120,000

Job Description: Design and Network Management in support of a regional state-of-the-art Medical Center network with 10 major hubs, multiple remote sites.  Predominantly Cisco, Call Manager, Unity, CSA, ACS, Ciscoworks, wireless.

 

Hard Skill Requirements:

1) Minimum experience level is CCNP (or equivalent) CCIE is preferred
2) Must have expert level knowledge in at least one of the following: Network Security (CCSP), IP Telephony (CCVP), or Wireless (WLAN Field / Design Specialist)

Soft Skill Requirements:

1) Self motivated, confident, highly organized, and well spoken
2) Must be comfortable interacting with clients and potential clients
3) Must be able to effectively communicate high level network architecture to non-Technical customers (success in formal instructional environments should correlate well to our situation)
4) Strong emphasis on personal appearance and strong presentation skills

Preferred Skills:

1) Microsoft certifications combined with networking industry certifications
2) Knowledge of the following products: IPCC, Call Manager, Unity, PIX, ACS, CSA, and AireSpace/Aironet.
3) Knowledge of the following technologies: Active Directory, LDAP, Java, Linux or Unix, Spanning tree, BGP, OSPF, and TCP / IP.
4) Instructor level knowledge of OSI levels 2,3, and 4
