Sr. Network Engineer
This position serves as the point of contact during network or system problems. Day to day activities include providing pro-active operational support for the network and enterprise servers including Active Directory servers, Exchange servers, web servers, fax servers and database servers. Other responsibilities include using various network management tools to monitor network performance, manage desktop and server updates, record and manage incidents and ensure maximum uptime for the network and systems. Candidates should be capable of taking ownership of all network and server problems through to resolution, resolve problems in a prompt, professional manner and identify issues that require escalation. Experience managing and maintaining PIX, SAN, routers, switches and MS Windows servers is required. This position requires supervising a small team of network/support personnel.
Requirements
? Strong working knowledge of Windows 2000/2003 server and Active Directory design and implementation
? Install, configure and maintain network operating systems. Analyze and Install, configure, troubleshoot and administer Windows 2000/2003 servers.
? Evaluate and install new software releases, system upgrades, patches, and resolve software-related problems.
? Manage Active Directory, WINS/DNS, VERITAS Backup Exec, Event Logs, and security-related tools
? Perform system backups and recovery. Maintain data files and monitor system configuration to ensure data integrity.
? Participate in testing and recommending various hardware and software technologies that will improve performance and reliability.
? Review and test backup strategies and recommend enhancements to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
? Create and maintain excellent environment documentation and keep detailed server maintenance logs.
? Design, test, and implement strategies and procedures for keeping desktops, laptops, and servers current with latest security patches and anti-virus updates.
? Conduct and coordinate hardware and software tests to ensure compliance with current standards.
? Conduct and coordinate the research of user requirements in order to recommend new hardware and software standards
? Setup monitoring and logging systems
? Creation and implementation of login scripts
? Maintain a positive and professional working relationship.

? 10+ Yrs Exp Networking Engineering in a Production Environment with Multiple Sites
? 2 ? 3+ Years Team and Project Management
? 5 ? 7+ Yrs Exp Networking Protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, Network Management, Firewalls and Security Products)
? 5 ? 7+ Yrs Exp Routers and Switches, VPN Solutions, Networking and Configuration
? 5+ Yrs Exp W2K/NT Server Infrastructure in Production, Development/Staging, and Training Environments
? 5+ Yrs Exp Exchange 5.5/2000, Active Directory
? 2+ Yrs Exp Migrating/Implementing Exchange 2000 (SMTP)
? 3+ Yrs Exp Managing Junior Network Engineers
? 5+ Yrs Exp Project Management, Working With Deliverables
? College Graduate with degree in Information Systems or at least 5 years in a related field.
