Job Description: The Network and Security engineer will be responsible for design, implementation, and support of security systems and methodologies across our production, corporate, and development environment installations. The engineer must also develop and maintain written policies to keep current with internal and marketplace changes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

? Design, develop and implement security programs and measures that ensure the best possible security safeguards and maintain the successful operation of the company.
? Monitor, evaluate, and maintain systems and procedures to safeguard internal information systems and databases.
? Develop, implement, and enforce security strategies, policies and procedures.
? Analyze, recommend and implement security technologies such as firewalls, IDS (network and server), certificates and PKI.
? Provide real-time maintenance and troubleshooting of implemented security technologies in an operational environment.
? Deliver security-related projects utilizing project management capabilities, and act as an effective participant on multi-discipline project teams.
? Analyze security requirements for various business initiatives and make specific security recommendations for implementation.
? Research and assess relevant security technologies and methodologies and recommend and implement changes to enhance enterprise security.
? Educate and communicate security requirements and procedures to all users.
? Develop strategies and plans for security incident response. This includes:
o Technical investigations
o Forensic procedures
o Internal notifications procedures
o External legal authorities notification and legal procedures

Skills:

? Strong knowledge of Internet (TCP/IP) Network practices and concepts
? Cisco CCNA certification (CCNP switching preferred)
? Strong knowledge of Firewall technologies?Checkpoint in particular
? Strong knowledge of Security practices and concepts
? Strong knowledge of encryption technologies and VPN?s
? Working knowledge of Linux/Unix environments
? Strong organizational skills
? Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers and employees.
? Demonstrated Project Management abilities.
? Strong analytical skills required.
? Strong communication (both verbal and written) and customer service skills (Ability to exchange information with others clearly and concisely.)
? Ability to respond to frequent pressure to meet deadlines when work speed and sustained accuracy are paramount.
? Ability to respond to frequent demands of multiple customers (internal and external).
? Ability to meet attendance standards and provide off-hours operational support when necessary.
? Ability to work harmoniously and effectively as part of a work team.
? Ability to work with minimal supervision.


Education / Experience:

? CISSP Certified Information Systems Security Professional desired.
? BS degree in Computer Science or related field
? 6+ years of direct network/security experience
? Or relevant combination of education and experience.
