Job Description:
Under direct supervision of the Manager of I.S. Communications, the Senior Network System Analyst position is designed to provide the organization with an expert level of expertise as it applies to state-of-the-art network communications, network infrastructure components, and Server/Desktop connectivity. This responsibility spans all network hardware, software, and specialized network diagnostics equipment used within Local and Wide area, Dial and Leased, and Public Data Network environments. This position is charged with the direct responsibility and accountability of the day to day network operation, performance, maintenance, problem determination, and security. This position is also tasked with providing long term technological recommendations as well as the development, implementation, and maintenance of service level standards as dictated by department management. All project work and research performed by the incumbent will be directed by the Manager of I.S. Communications and may span any requirement Network Engineering, Technical Support, Production Control, Data Center Operations and Data Administration.

 

Requirements:
Bachelor?s degree in Computer Sciences/Telecommunications, or equivalent experience comprising of 5-7 years of active professional service in a Network Support role within a similar environment. Operating Systems: Unix,Linux, Windows Server 2000/2003/XP. Protocols: Must have keen knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, SNMP. Routing Protocols: Must have a good working knowledge of RIP, OSPF, BGP. Firewalls: Must have working knowledge of the Cisco Pix Firewall. Content Switches: Cisco L2 and L3 Switch configurations 6500, 4500 and 3700 series. Cisco CSS, CSM and SCA. Security:Must have a good understanding of IDS.

Additional Skills:(a plus) Troubleshooting BGB / OSPF / Spanning Tree Protocol Analysis using sniffers. Linux administration / Perl / PHP etc. IDS Network Management experience with various monitoring and alerting tools. CCIE or CCNP certification
