Sr. Network/Systems Administrator

Alltech Int?l has an urgent need for Sr. Network/Systems Administrator in Reston, VA.  All candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years 'hands on' experience in systems administration.

Sr. Network/System Admin

The Sr. Network/System Admin performs network analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance for a complex system of networked computing platforms in a wireless development environment. Must work closely with multiple software teams to plan and implement strong production strength solutions for multiple product lines.  This is a development environment utilizing some of the latest and greatest technologies to create new applications for wireless providers.

Responsible for:Installing hardware and software into multiple production environments.Configuring complex environments.Resolving complex hardware/software compatibility and interface design considerations Providing technical support and troubleshooting

Required Skills:

? 5+ years system/network admin experience

? Solaris

? Oracle

? Weblogic

? Strong networking and TCP/IP

? Ability to work outside of traditional business hours when necessary

? Excellent communication skills

? Good understanding of project management techniques

? Background in wireless technology including SMS and WAP

Desired Skills:

? Websphere

? MQSeries

? Previous development experience
