The Senior Operating Systems Programmer is responsible for the following: evaluates, installs, maintains, and supports operating system, telecommunications, database and/or specialized system software; prepares written documentation to accompany all systems, programs and program changes; provides technical guidance and direction to management, programmers, and operators regarding operating systems; evaluates hardware requirements and tunes hardware configurations; performs other duties as assigned. Prefer that candidate have experience with: Solaris 8 & 9, Veritas Cluster and HP11.

Education: College degree in a Technical or related field and 3-5 years professional level experience with 0-1 year supervisory experience for roles with supervision; or 7+ years professional level related Technical experience with 0-1 year supervisory experience for roles with supervision; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related Technical experience required.
