Sr Oracle Apps DBA w/ RAC

Modis is searching for a candidate with the following qualifications to fill a permanent position in Charlotte, NC.

Minimum of 5 years experience as a Development/Production Oracle Applications DBA with ERP systems, prefer at least version 11.5.9 with a solid understanding of Oracle Application 11i Architecture. In addition, extensive UNIX background required with a minimum 5 years experience with Oracle on UNIX, KORN Shell Scripting. This position will support 11i production and development instances and work with consultants/programmers/analysts to ensure that the technical requirements are met in each development/testing environment. Knowledge of Oracle Portal is a plus.

This position should have experience in the following areas:

Oracle RAC environment:

? Solid knowledge and experience with Oracle 9i RAC, preferably in HP-UX environment.
? Extensive experience and expertise in new installation and patching of Oracle Applications 11i running on Oracle9i RAC in HP-UX environment.
? Extensive experience and expertise in Cloning of Oracle Applications 11i running on Oracle9i RAC in HP-UX environment.
? Extensive experience in tuning Oracle 9i RAC Databases, PL/SQL, stored procedures, functions.
? Solid knowledge in Configuration and Managing of Apache servers, Forms servers, Report servers, Load Balancing., Discoverer server etc.
? Current experience with patching, monitoring, and tuning Oracle Apps.
? Proficient in backup and recovery using RMAN.
? 10g with ASM.


Oracle System Administration:

? Proficient in all aspects of System Administration functionality within E-Business Suite.
? Working knowledge of Parallel Concurrent Processing, Oracle Workflow, OAM, Notification mailer, framework.
? Experience with High Availability, multi-tier architecture with load balancer is a plus.
