Position Requirements:

-5 years Oracle Database Administration

-5+ years of overall database administration

-Experience with Oracle 10g RAC

-UNIX

-SDLC processes

-Project Management Experience

-Strong organization skills and able to complete multiple tasks

-Stellar communication skills (verbal & written)

-BA in Information Technology or related field

-PL/SQL programming

A leading broad line distributor in the US has an immediate need for a technically astute Oracle Database Administrator to join their team immediately to help manage and maintain the database environment.  The ideal candidate will have experience and a proven work history of working with end users and/or applications development to understand requirements of programs and then perform the analytical duties to properly develop programs or implement systems to support developed applications.

-Configuration

-Installation

-Upgrades

-Correcting problems in the operating environments

-Performance Monitoring

-Tuning, back up and recovery of supported systems

-Modifying run reports

-Manage user access/authorization
