Sr. Oracle Developer / Support Engineer

Scope of work:

Sr. Oracle Developer / Support Engineer whose responsibilities will include working on development and customization projects, to include analyzing business requirements, evaluating architectural implications, developing technical design, and coding using Oracle development tools. This would include unit test and quality assurance, and development and testing of interfaces of Oracle Financials applications to other systems. Responsibilities will also include both hands-on and over-sight functions re: providing support and maintenance activities for the production Oracle Financials system and related peripheral applications for a complex global environment. Such duties include troubleshooting production problems, resolution of problems, working in coordination with operations teams and assisting Finance business support staff. Secondary responsibilities may include supporting and or developing customizations for one or more peripheral applications included in the Oracle Financials environment, which include packaged software - both out-of-the-box and customized - as well as custom interfaces to applications requiring integration with Oracle


Position requires the following background:

Development and support of Oracle Applications (GL, AP, FA, PO modules) and workflow. Desired knowledge and/or experience would also include iExpense, iSupplier and iProcurement. Discoverer 10G, Noetix, eForms, Ariba, Vista Plus would also be a plus.

Experience in web development, including HTML, JavaScript, J2EE, and MS .Net/ASP is also highly desirable but not necessary.





Position requires the following background (experience and education)

A bachelor?s degree in computer science or information systems is preferred, but a bachelor?s in a non-related field and commensurate technical experience is acceptable. The education requirements can be flexible if the candidate presents significant and relevant technical experience. Resource must be strong in core financial modules and have general business process knowledge of how these modules are used by a Finance department. Experience should include technical troubleshooting, coordination among multiple, disparate technical teams, as well as regular customer interaction. Individual must be detail oriented and have experience providing technical support for Oracle Applications in a 24x7x365 production environment.
