Education and Business Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree preferred
5+ years hands-on experience in Oracle database administration.
Client Server and/or data modeling experience desired
2-3 years of system development and maintenance experience
Working knowledge of PeopleSoft
3-5 years experience in an Information Technology capacity
Financial services industry experience desired

What are the job responsibilities?
The primary purpose of this position is to provide consulting and expertise on complex database requirements of the Corporate IT Systems department, which includes HR and finance systems, as well as other shared services technical support for the US operations. Perform database assignments of a broad and complex nature on an independent basis including performance and integrity monitoring.
Responsibilities
Install and support Relational Databases with Corporate Applications, which include HR, Finance, and other shared services offerings. Support includes the management of disc storage of database system files and application databases and design/creation of complex informational databases (file structure, record layouts, and descriptions).
Work with Corporate Infrastructure and IT Architecture team on establishing/maintaining system back up and recovery procedures for large scale test and production server environments and ensuring proper hardware/operating systems configuration are in place to support the test/productions database environments.
Support the Corporate Applications development process including mapping of capacity to applications, developing hardware/software requirements, performing structure/content changes, developing testing databases, and system testing/debugging.
Administer and enforce security of user accounts and applications. Work to ensure compliance with regulatory and process requirements on local and remote Corporate Applications servers.
Assist in the development of global physical architectures that include recommendations of broad-based structure and usage changes and monitoring of system performance for tuning of system configuration parameters where necessary.
Provide guidance/assistance in the design and monitoring of production and development database management systems.
Assist Corporate Applications group in ensuring that service levels agreements are met.
Architect database and technology solutions for large-scale projects within Corporate Applications. Support and assist project resources from initial planning through production.
