Sr PM Rhode Island

Hello our client is looking for a Sr. Project Manager to oversee the implementation of an enterprise-wide integrated financial system. PM must have strong Oracle Financials experience specifically with state government experience. This is a 3 year engagement with a confidential client in Rhode Island. 

The project is a multi-year implementation of integrated financial systems, including: legacy systems integration, core financial, asset management, procurement, budget, human resource, cost allocation, and other related systems.  The scope would include all divisions and subdivisions of the client.  

This project / engagement manager will work with executive staff to:

Develop an overall project plan for the implementation of integrated financial processes and systems
Development of a change management process and plans
Recommendations relating to the project delivery and system implementation models
Development of procurement documentation for the solicitation of additional professional services
Coordination between third party vendors and internal staff for overall project delivery
Project management of resources and deliverables
Oversight for third party delivery of services
Risk and issues management
Status reporting
Other related tasks

Business process models
Change management plans
Schedules
Requirements management plans
Test plans
Solicitations for additional professional services
Review and commentary on vendor proposals
Other related deliverables as identified by the client.


Expected Skills & Experience:

Minimum 8 years project management experience
PMI project management certification preferred
Significant experience implementing integrated financial systems, state government setting preferred
Experience with, and knowledge of Oracle Financial Applications required
Strong contract / vendor management skills and experience.
Experience with complex financial systems integration projects (i.e. packaged solutions to legacy solutions)
Experience, knowledge and awareness of state procurement processes
Experience, knowledge and awareness of change management techniques
Experience, knowledge and awareness of requirements management processes
Experience, knowledge and awareness of process modeling and reengineering techniques
Experience, knowledge and awareness of testing and acceptance processes
