Sr. QA Lead

Key Attributes: Solid testing experience - can write use cases and test cases.
No desire to use automation testing tools. This is a manual environment, and no tools will be used in next two years. (Note, this is more than a "robot" manual testing environment. The person will help build testing environments and will write the use and test cases).
No management aspirations. Looking for someone who only wants to do testing for 2-3 years.

Individual will be responsible for executing Functional, Regression, Integration and Installation tests and documenting results, maintaining / supporting the Quality Assurance test environment, and special projects as needed.
Essential Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

Thorough understanding of testing methodologies and processes as they pertain to software development
? Proficient in Microsoft SQL, MS XP Pro, IIS and Windows2000 Server.
? Testing experience on an enterprise software business application that has been released, preferably multiple versions
? Ability to build and support servers; hardware and software
? Experience with VMWare
? Thorough understanding of a Microsoft client/server environment
? High level understanding of LAN technologies
? Proven ability to meet deadlines on aggressive schedules
? Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, while effectively focusing on priority issues
? Ability to thoroughly document test results and issues.
? Exceptional customer service approach to work with internal and external customers.

Education and/or Experience
? Associates Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Accounting or comparable discipline or experience deemed equivalent to such education or a combination of education and experience
? At least 5-7 years manual hands-on testing experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

? Install Testing
? Design, execute, analyze, and maintain test plans, test cases and test scripts implementing proven quality assurance practices pertaining to software testing.
? Work closely with software development, product support and customer support personnel in the resolution of any assigned task.
? Provide test estimates based on use case or other requirement documentation.
? Participate in requirements review and approval process.
? Participate in Design/Functional specification document reviews
? Participate in Code Reviews
? Generate test reports including results of testing and product stability, which include recommendations concerning release of product.
? Provide daily or weekly status reports.
? Mentor other testers as required.
? Review/test all documentation related to the release under test
? Conduct test team and project level peer reviews
? Log defects in Issue Manager
? Perform QA Retest of defects as required
? Special Projects as assigned
