Sr. QA Tester - Lead

Comsys IT Services has an immediate opportunity for a solid QA professional who can quickly step into a Team Lead role.  The average contract lenght is 6+ months with the potential of being hired full-time after the contracting duration.  This opportunity is in Richmond, Virginia.

 

Day to Day Responsibilities:
QA/Testing in a WEB-BASED application development environment

Position Scope:
Develops, publishes, and implements test plans. Writes and maintains test automation. Develops quality assurance standards. Defines and tracks quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts. Requires a bachelor's degree and 4-6 years of experience coding in required languages. Must have a working knowledge of quality assurance methodologies. Must have familiarity with appropriate environments. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. Works under general supervision; typically reports to a manager. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

Required Skills:
Bachelors Degree
Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies
Strong ability to communicate effectively both with the client and the development team Working knowledge of any major RDBMS (preferable Oracle)
Mercury QuickTest Professional, Test Director experience would be a plus
Working knowledge of web-based application development, preferably in a Java/Oracle environment
Excellent analytical skills
