Sr. SAP Basis Administrator

This position will be part of the SAP Basis Team. This position will be responsible for the day-to-day technical support of the SAP applications, as well as, supporting the Nucleus implementation teams with the introduction of new solutions using SAP products. This position will specialize on several SAP systems and will also mentor less experienced Basis team members.Responsible for the installation, technical administration, tuning, and monitoring of the SAP ERP software including R/3, BW, SEM, CRM, Portal, SCM and Solution Manager systems.
Develop expertise and provide primary support for the SAP R/3 and SCM systems.
Support the SAP Correction and Transport System (CTS).
Document SAP administration standards, policies and procedures.
Apply support packages, and add-ons.
Provide 24x7 hour support for mission critical system software, on call rotation schedule.
Effectively communicate and interact with both functional and technical personnel in solving complex business and technical problems.
Ability to complete tasks within critical timelines and work well in a high-energy environment.
Address issues related to the implementation of third party interfaces to SAP R/3.
Drive efforts to design and document complex SAP technology strategies in support of Enterprise and Channel Initiatives.
Develop and document SAP and related technology architectural standards in conjunction with Technology and Architecture Area.Four-year college degree in computer science, information systems or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
3+ years Basis administration experience working in a complex SAP environment. R/3 and BW experience preferred. SCM experience a plus.
Experience supporting and working in a project development and support environment with ability to diagnose and solve problems quickly.
Thorough understanding and skill of UNIX operating system and database concepts (Oracle preferred).
Good coding, testing, and documentation skills required.
Have an analytical mind and the ability to delve into detail, but also have an interest in broader business issues.
Ability to interface with and influence personnel at all levels of the ConAgra Foods Enterprise.
Exceptional communications (written and oral), change leadership and customer service skills.
Customer service focus in a team environment.
A high sense of urgency.
