IT ? Sr. SQL Server Database Administrator

 Job Title: Sr. SQL Server DBA   Career Level:  4 to 7 years  Job Summary:

The SQL Server Database Administrator will be responsible for monitoring, upgrading and configuring all SQL Server database instances.  The SQL Server DBA must have extensive experience in a multi-database environment, must be capable of performing backup and recovery operations, performance tuning and import/export operations.  In addition, the SQL Server DBA also must have a strong knowledge of database warehousing including design and implementation. UNIX operating system experience a plus.

?  Disaster Recovery Planning and Execution

 

Qualifications:

 

Education:  B.S. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.  

 

Work Experience:  4-7 years professional DBA experience.

 

Knowledge/Skills Requirements:

 

?  SQL Server 6.5 and up

?  Transact SQL Programming

?  Data Transformation Services

?  Backup and Recovery

?  Space allocation and disk management

?  Must be familiar with SYBASE

?  Must be familiar with Solaris, LINUX and BSD based UNIX operating systems

?  Oracle 9 and up

?  Must have experience with Microsoft Cluster Service and VERITAS Cluster

?  MS SQL log shipping
