Sr. Security Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for individuals with a passion for excellence to enhance the growing technology organization.  We are seeking a high-caliber security engineer with proven industry implementation and operational experience.  The individual will play a technical leadership role across both architecture and application security for the enterprise.  This role will include leadership and governance of the security architecture, ensuring that appropriate deliverable / code reviews are conducted and working with internal and external organizations to prepare for the implementation of a centralized security service.  The individual will report into the Enterprise Architecture group and work with Sr. level management, developers, operations, customers and support staff to fulfill their responsibilities.  The preferred candidate will have a working knowledge of the IBM Tivoli set of products and solutions but it is not a requirement.  Proven experience with provisioning, authentication and authorization for large systems is a requirement.

 

Required Skills:
* Implementation of large scale security solutions for identity management (Tivoli preferred)
* Distributed, services oriented architecture, usage of Object Oriented design patterns, Web Services,
* Strong LDAP skills in design, installation, replication, certificate management
* Knowledge of Internet (TCP/IP) Network practices and concepts, Firewall technologies, Encryption technologies and VPN
* Technical leadership and mentorship skills
* Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
* Software development lifecycle experience
* Working knowledge of key security standards and experience using and implementing them.

Desired skills
* Experience with the IBM Tivoli security set of products (Web Seal, Tivoli Identity Manager, Tivoli Access Manager. Tivoli Federated Identity Manager Tivoli Directory Integrator, Security Compliance Manager, Tivoli Provisioning Manager)
* Design / implementation of directory integration
* IBM WebSphere, WebSphere Portal design, configuration, installation and management
 Experience with other Portal platforms, such as, BEA, Vignette is acceptable).
*Systems administration on one or more platforms: Unix (Linux, Solaris, HP-UX), Windows (XP, 2003, 2K)
* A background with Netegrity SiteMinder, Windows MetaDirectory, iPlanet Directory, Sun ONE, etc
*Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a related field
