Sr. Storage Technical Support Engineer

Akibia is looking for a Senior Storage Technical Support Engineer who possesses an in-depth knowledge of mid-tier to high-end storage arrays by SUN and/or HP.  This individual will be responsible for providing technical direction and leadership in the development of storage support strategies and the delivery of remote technical support to Akibia?s customers. 

 

The ideal candidate will have strong customer relationship skills and familiarity with support for mission critical environments. They will provide remote technical support including hardware/software troubleshooting and diagnosis, storage and SAN administration and basic configuration assistance. This person will also provide guidance and training to less experienced technical support engineers, along with developing detailed documentation on support strategies for selected storage products. 

 

We are looking for a minimum of 5-7 years experience providing technical support on SUN and/or HP storage arrays, with at least 3 years at a senior level.  The ability to perform root cause analysis is required.  Experience with volume manager and filesystem tools, SAN environments (switches, directors and zoning) and management software are also necessary for this position.
