Sr Sybase and Oracle DBA
Job Description:
Seekin a Senior Sybase and Oracle DBA to manage Investment Systems databases. Well known Financial Services organization is seeking to add another DBA to it's current team.
Responsibilities include designing databases, planning database configuration and installation, maintaining databases, managing database security, building database backup and recovery routines, monitoring database activities, conducting performance monitoring & tuning, establishing infrastructure procedures and guidelines, and providing consultation to application developers.
Job Experience:
-- Minimum 4 years experience of Sybase and Oracle database administration in a UNIX environment.
-- Extensive experience in database design, performance monitoring and tuning, capacity planning, database backup and recovery, SQL statement tuning, and Unix scripting.
-- Excellent communication skills.
Desired Skills:
DBArtisan, Autosys, and ERWIN. Experience and skills in Sybase Replication Server, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server.
