Sr. Systems/San Administrator

20% -Develops and promotes standard operating procedures.  Develops, monitors and maintains standard backup procedures and offsite storage and retrieval of the backups. 

20% - Maintain file system on all UNIX systems at appropriate capacity levels.  Plans and performs software and hardware installations, upgrades to operating systems, applies firmware patches and layered software packages. 

20% -Monitors and tunes the system to achieve an optimum level of performance. 

10%- Interfaces with database administration, production support and software developers to provide capacity reports, capacity planning.

5%- Conducts routine hardware and software audits of workstations and servers for compliance with established standards and policies, configuration guidelines and procedures. 

5% -Develops and maintain a comprehensive hardware and software configuration database/library of all supporting documentation.

5%- Make recommendations on new tools, H/W and S/W.

5%- Facilitates and/or assist with production issues and or outage resolutions. 

Knowledge and Skills 
-High school diploma, Bachelors Prefered
-Sun Solaris, TCP/IP,  ORACLE, Windows, Linux, StorageTek,  Brocade
-5 years, experience (required) 7 years (prefered) of  Enterprise System Administration experience and project management exposure. 
-Enterprise Disk Systems Administration
-2 Years, 5 years prefered Linux Administration
-2 years, 5 years prefered Microsoft Systems
-Experience with Fiber Channel Switches
