Sr. Web Developer (.NET / C# / SharePoint / J2EE)

Nexus Technologies, Inc., has immediate need for Senior Web Developer with expertise using .NET, C#, SharePoint, and J2EE technologies to join team based in Washington, DC. Will interface with client and serve as senior member of small team (5-8) of programmers working with portal development and O&M. Requires familiarity with SDLC best practices and CMMI concepts. Will perform the following:Install and configure Windows SharePoint Services and SharePoint Portal Server.Configure SharePoint Portal Server components for single and shared services operating modes in secure environment.Configure SharePoint Portal Server Personalization settings and integration with Active Directory. 

Will add and manipulate SharePoint content using Office 2003. Will use Visual Studio .NET to create and publish custom web parts, implement custom business rules in document events, and to remotely access SharePoint content using WebServices and WebDAV. Will use C# to develop custom applications for portal use. J2EE experience required for potential re-host to BEA/WebLogic.

 

Requires 10+ years programming experience, 4+ years of experience with .NET technology including strong project based experience with C#, VB.NET, and ASP.NET.  Prefer candidates with knowledge of the SharePoint Services Object Mode and familiarity with SharePoint Services site hierarchies including security, application management, and cross site connectivity.

 

Applicants must have Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field. Requires US Citizenship and ability to obtain and/or hold DoD Secret Security Clearance.
