We are currently seeking a talented Sr. Web/Training Systems Analyst to work in our Portsmouth, NH office in the corporate Sales & Service Systems & Development team.
As a Sr. Web/Training Systems Analyst you will provide training and support for the application development and deployment effort of the existing front end applications. Support includes responding to training and/or help desk questions, and leading on line training courses.
General responsibilities:
o Formulate training policies, programs and schedules based on knowledge of identified training needs, company business processes, business systems or changes in products, procedures, or services.
o Re-engineers business operations to improve business results and operational effectiveness.
o Evaluates complex business requirements and models data and / or system requirements.
o Analyzes and documents complex business problems.
o Develops and implements business testing strategies.
o Coordinates upgrades and rollouts of larger more complex projects.
o Leads projects or sub-projects.
Primary responsibilities:
o Formulate training policies, programs and schedules based on knowledge of identified training needs, company business processes, business systems or changes in products, procedures, or services.
o Facilitate learning through classroom, Webinar, e-Learning and large group presentation addressing specific technical skills.
o Organize and develop training manuals, reference library, and evaluation procedures, multimedia visual aids and other educational materials.
o Assist in the design, development, measurement and maintenance of training programs.
o Partner with division/department heads to assess learning needs and develop training involvement, as well as provide feedback and direction.
o Provide client software support and training
o Assist customers with metrics and analysis
o Ensure the finished product meets the requirements objectives and any other appropriate criteria associated with the training requirements.
o Ensure standardization and technical accuracy of course materials and achievement of project milestones.
o Participate on a cross-organizational team to provide course design, subject-matter expertise, and course material review for course development projects.
o Contribute to the Sales & Service Systems team on development process, tool, and infrastructure issues.
This position requires occasional travel.
Qualifications:
Skill requirements:
o Bachelors degree (Master's degree preferred) in business or technical discipline or equivalent experience.
o Minimum of 5 years' related experience in business operations, objectives and strategies as well as business process and information flow.
o Understanding of business practices common across many industries.
o Extensive understanding of re-engineering approaches.
o General knowledge of IT concepts, strategies and methodologies; general knowledge of diverse technologies and new and current architectures.
o Skills in object, data and / or process modeling; financial analysis and planning, business value analysis; business process design.
o 3-5 years' experience in the design and development of technical training courses.
o 2 + years' experience in web-based systems analysis preferred.
o Knowledge and hands-on experience of a variety of web-based training development tools such as e-Learning, and Webinar/ Webcast software.
o Demonstrated self-direction skills and strong business relationship skills.
o Proven experience developing courses in a high-tech environment.
o Experience developing interactive applications for the Web.
o Extensive experience using various Web developments and authoring software.
o Understand and apply best-practice methodologies of instructional design.
o Experience developing collaborative relationships and partnerships with the business and technology departments that drive business results.
o Practice in business process consulting and analysis.
o Strong client service experience.
o The ability to effectively build relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization.
o Excellent communication and influencing skills.
o Practical problem solving and strategic thinking skills.
Desirable Skill and Experience:
o Experience with Web demo software preferred.
o Knowledge of Web development using HTML, Front Page or Content Server.
o Preferred exposure to development practices in large, complex Web environments.
o Client and/or Project Management experience preferred.
