Position Title: Storage Administrator

Reports to: Technical Support Manager

Location: Home Office

Job Summary:

This individual will have secondary responsibilities for configuration, support and problem determination of a storage environment using IBM and CISCO SAN equipment.  The individual will work closely with development teams on all platforms to configure storage.  We have a growing SAN environment using IBM DS8100/FASTt and CISCO 9509 switches.  This individual will work administrators on all platforms to establish and monitor effective backup and recovery procedures

 

Job Responsibilities:Install and configure IBM storage subsystemsInstall and configure a SAN fabric using CISCO switchesConfigure a storage mirroring environment to a remote data centerMonitor the SAN performance and provide historical reports for capacity planningContact vendor support hardware or software issues to resolve problemsWork with compliance team to maintain VISA and SOX system requirementsDevelop disaster recovery procedures and test on a periodic basisBe available for rotating 24/7 support of systems

 

Requirements:4 Year degree in an IT related fieldMinimum 2 years in Information Technology disciplinesExperience with IBM storage subsystemsExperience with CISCO SAN switchesAbility to develop and execute project plansExperience with Veritas Netbackup softwareExperience with IBM global mirroring for data replication Excellent organization skills and attention to detail, including the ability to prioritize and manage a variety of complex projects and activities
