Supervisor of Network and Telecommunications

Under the general supervision of the Director of Information Systems manage and provide support to all Network Services projects to assure a high value, widely accessible, comprehensive, integrated information network which meets customer needs.  The position requires team participation in the development and control of all Local Area Networks, Wide Area Networks, and facility infrastructure.

 

 Provide day to day user and system support, hardware/software installation and changes, system trouble shooting, and analysis, security, user training, and maintenance of all Network Service systems.

 Experience in healthcare required

 Lead in the development and management of all company Network Service projects and systems.

 Recommend, develop, and implement policies and procedures, and act as liaison with other departments and outside agencies with regard to the operation of all Network Services systems.  Work with all customers to analyze needs, consider alternatives, and develop cost effective solutions.

 Organize and manage all activities to provide the organization with network availability 24 hours per day, seven days per week.

 Develop and deploy preventative maintenance schedules, disaster recovery techniques, and system upgrades for all network services devices including; Servers, Switches, Hubs, Fiber, and all other network equipment.

 Interact with outside network and telecommunication vendors in the areas of problems resolution, alternative solutions available, and preliminary contract negotiations.

 Develop and maintain adequate inventories and supplies of network equipment.
