System Admin Linux

Description

Manage an office network of a Debian Linux server and approximately 15-20 Linux and Windows workstations running on Intel-based hardware

Provide support for operation of Apache and MySQL

Experience with dpkg-deb, make, and shell scripting for packaging software

Experience with building Linux images or configuring modules to handle non-detected hardware devices (newer Ethernet and/or DVD writing hardware) is a plus

Help manage remote customer sites (across North America and Western Europe) with installed systems of Linux and Windows workstations

Full benefits package, including health, dental, disability, 401K

Requirements

Minimum 3 years experience with Linux platform used as senior support or engineer role

Bachelor's degree preferred, not required

Skill with C++ would be a big plus

Occasional travel for installation and support at customer sites
