System Administrator/Desktop Support-GOV

Job Description:
Candidate will have a broad knowledge of operating systems, programming languages and hardware. Under limited supervision, candidate will support, monitor, test, and troubleshoot all hardware and software pertaining to the organization. Review, analyze, and evaluate information technology to recommend new solutions, upgrades or repairs to existing infrastructure and support direct-to-contract activities. Strong communication skills to handle the support of novice users are essential as is the ability to repair and reconfigure desktops, laptops, and applications in a corporate network environment, while interfacing with various external customers as needed. Provide timely resolution for escalated trouble tickets and document solutions in our helpdesk ticketing system. Ensure adequate follow-up communications, and issue timely status updates to users.

Job Requirements:

1. Bachelors degree in computer related field
2. 3-5 years experience in Systems Administration/LAN Administration/Technical Support
3. Must have an advanced knowledge of Windows Server 2000/2003, Windows XP and Office 2000/2003
4. Advanced knowledge of Windows 2000/XP and Microsoft Office
5. Knowledge of HP/Compaq servers, Oracle 9i and MS SQL Server
6. Knowledge of Deltek Costpoint
7. Ability and desire to learn new skills quickly
8. Effectively communicate issues and resolutions to all levels of the
organization.
