PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

PRIMARY:
-Senior regional technology expert empowered to speak for GTECH on all technical levels as to our products and services and their alignment with our Corporate Strategies.
-Regional understanding of our installed customer technical solutions and our customer technical strategies targeted to meet their current and future business needs. Advise AGM's on technical roadmaps to help our customers achieve their technical strategic targets.
-Act as the conduit for regional technical requirements and trends into the Product Development group and the Systems Engineering affinity. Work with the Product Management group to understand product functional requirements, product service requirements, and product lifecycle.
-Responsible for maintaining GTECH product technical proficiency, understanding product release timelines and facilitating our product release upgrade strategies (i.e. ES Release-1) within the region. Ensure products are developed for serviceability, maintainability, and reliability.
-Provide regional systems engineering support to the Regional Account Teams, Sales Teams, and Business Development Teams (i.e. product knowledge, technical strategy, proposal responses, customer visits, etc)
-Maintaining industry knowledge of technical products, services and solutions. Bring industry experts and products in-house for review and evaluation.
-Enforce compliance with GTECH Intellectual Property Policy within the region.

SECONDARY:
-Support regional service delivery teams with service delivery technical leadership
-Support technical discussions between regional customers and service delivery teams (i.e technical requirements, product knowledge and integration, technical issue resolution, etc)
-Support the RDL with Service Delivery project scoping & cost estimation.
-Support the RVP and RDL with regional opportunity management and planning.
-Advise the Product Support group on product baseline fixes and enhancements
-Establish technical business relationships with the senior technical staff members of our customers in the region.
- Maintain technical product and service competitive intelligence.
-Consult/Partner with Delivery SEs during RFP processes and Project Delivery cycles

Requirements:

EDUCATION:
Minimum Education:
Bachelor of Science Degree with additional Education/Training or equivalent

Years Experience:
7-10 years experience in technology related field. Must have strong understanding of technology principles.

Essential Special Training Requirements:
Must have proven experience in business environment i.e. Business modeling, estimation, budgeting experience; Project Management; Customer Relationship Management; Total Cost of Ownership. Typically obtains information from Account Team and acts upon.
