System Engineer fo Service Operation, Storage and Migration Services
This Position will be in support of Pomeroy's 'Server Operations, Storage, and Migration Services' Practice for Projects lasting 6 months.
The position is based in Des Moines, IA.
We are looking for local candidate that must live in that area.
Requirements
Minimum 7-10+ years of hands on technical experience with various certifications, preferable to include EMC and HP Storage Certifications
Must have Server Skills in UNIX (AIX, HP/UX, RedHat Linux, Solaris), MS-Windows (MCSE), Netware, VMware
Strong Storage Skills with experience in CommVault, EMC, Hitachi, HP, IBM, StorageTek, SUN, Symantec-Veritas.
Individual must demonstrates initiative, professional demeanor, and good customer skills
Willing to travel and support multi week/month engagements within the the US (Mainly Iowa and surronding area)
Minimum Educational Requirement is Bachelors Degree
Experience with a manufacturer or reseller in a post-sales and occasionally pre-sales technical role is a plus.
Various manufacturer certifcations is a plus (in the areas of server and storage listed above)
Must be able to pass a criminal and motor vehicle background check.
