ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.



This individual is responsible to ensure proper analysis and implementation of systems and user requirements, procedures to automate processing and/or to improve existing computer and office system equipment. They will also provide leadership and technical direction to accomplish daily tasks and strategic objectives.



This individual will lead and facilitating the planning, designing, implementation, and evaluation of a strategic information management systems; establish appropriate operating systems and network infrastructure; develop fiscal and administrative management plans for the information systems process and provide user support; and managing IT staff. They will evaluate organizational goals and objectives to develop and implement information technology systems support processes and work plan of IT Support Technician. This candidate will also evaluate hardware and software components required to meet system goals and prepare system documentation, such as user manuals, installation instructions, coding documents and change control management. They will confer with business units involved to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements such as forms of data input, how data is to be summarized, and formats for reports. They will also develop plans to implement solutions toward improving efficiencies and reliability. This candidate is responsible for system modifications through the review and subsequent update of existing systems to improve performance and documentation of all changes as well as providing trend analysis.

They will troubleshoot and solve system problems and communicate with staff and users to determine difficulties and problems with system in a timely manner (2 days). This candidate will evaluate system capabilities to assess the possible growth and upgrade capabilities of existing software or hardware components and maximizes output from existing equipment.

They will also provide training and proper introductory documentation to users and supervise and design workflow of IT Support Technician in support of attaining department goals and objectives. This individual will develop goals, timetables, desired outcomes, cost estimates and evaluative methods with regard to information systems implementation projects and develop, communicate and implement information systems policies and procedures.



The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor"s degree in information systems or a computer science field or equivalent experience. They will have 3-5 years experience in coordinating systems administration and a minimum of 2 years managing technical staff. This individual would have previously demonstrated project management skills and knowledge of finances and Microsoft client and server operating systems (Windows 95/98/NT/2000/XP/2003) as well as Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project, Visio). They will understand configuration of PC workstations and printers in a networked Microsoft environment as well as Microsoft Active Directory maintenance and administration, including user adds, deletes, security, group assignments, policies and scripting, etc. The ideal candidate will possess working knowledge of basic network protocols (IPX, NETBEUI, TCPIP) and network design and network monitoring of Ethernet 10/100-base, FDDI, Fiber, and Gigabit topologies. They will have knowledge in application development in Excel, Access, SQL and HTML, disaster recovery and backup systems (Veritas, CA) and A+ or Net+ Certification.
