Job Overview:?
Involved in the design, implementation and documentation of server and/or storage technology architectures that support the Firm's internal systems.? Work closely with laboratory/QA work and management to support the testing of new products and product updates.? This is accomplished by identifying and delivering technology and solution designs that are sustainable and cost-effective based on
Firm standards, internal collaboration, and industry research.

Key Relationships:? Infrastructure Operations, ITS Leadership, Current and Potential Service Providers and Product Vendors.

Job Responsibilities:?
- Gathering customer requirements from application, security and operational teams.
- Collaborating with vendors and customers to develop conceptual designs through pilot and implementation planning for all Storage Related projects.
- Presenting these designs to all levels of the ITS organization and gaining consensus on direction.
- Assisting the technical support and operational teams in deployment of the designed solution(s).
- Assessing and recommending new and emerging technologies.
- Lead design, development, and deployment of technical and application solutions to meet requirements that are cost effective and sustainable. Deliver conceptual, logical, and physical solution specifications.
- Research, identify, test, and
select technology products required for solution delivery.

Qualifications:?
- Thorough understanding of Windows Server Family (2000/2003/R2).
- Knowledge of IA-32, IA-64, and AMD server hardware from various manufacturers.
- An understanding of network technology: LAN/WAN topology.
- Knowledge of Exchange/AD, SMS, Citrix, SQL Server, Tivoli, etc.
- Familiarity of SAN and NAS environments and diskless operation.
- Familiarity with UNIX-based OSes:? AIX, Linux, etc.
- Knowledge in methods of automating and scripting OS/Application installations.
- Experience with Hardware and Operating System design, configuration, integration, and support.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting technical concepts and ideas at all levels of the organization.
- Technical Leadership, Documentation, Project Management, the ability to work with project teams to insure successful implementations.
