Systems Engineer I

The ideal candidate is a mid level windows administrator with a heavy desktop and server support background. Candidates should have project management skills, as well as good verbal and written communication skills. Candidates should be highly motivated, able to work independently and in a team environment, and be able to adapt to changing business priorities.

Primary Job Duties:
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft solutions.
- IBM, Dell, HP, EMC, knowledge and practical experience desired.
- At least 2 years experience in designing, developing, and supporting enterprise solutions.
- Experience in data back up and recovery models.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting problems in cross-O/S platforms.
- At least 2 years experience working knowledge of server concepts/ /design/deployment, performance monitoring and tuning.
- Ability to monitor production environment using various physical and software tools.
- Strong customer focus and management of client expectations; ability to establish and maintain a high level of user trust and confidence.
- Understanding of the server and network impact of relational database software (MS SQL and Oracle).
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills; excellent teamwork skills.


Education / Training Bachelors degree, or coursework towards information services, computer science, or related degree, or equivalent training and experience (3-5 years).
