Systems Integration Engineer

JOB PURPOSE
Integrate software and related technology for inclusion/accommodation on SITA Airport and Desktop Services' platform systems; (CUTE, APC, WTR etc). Integration provides a vital control mechanism that avoids adding/modifying new products and procedures in an arbitrary manner.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESWrite documentation for each integration. (Documentation includes details such as: Installation, customization, backup, and troubleshooting information. This facilitates subsequent certification and field deployment.) Provide feedback to management regarding the requirements for the software (and related technology) being considered for integration, as well as the associated setup and access procedures. This specifies a standard that all products must adhere to and is particularly important on SITA's common-use system, a system shared by multiple types of users and software that must all co-exist. Contribute to the design and update of software/application policies and specifications. This is needed in order to safeguard consistency. Evaluate and recommend add-on utilities for system administration and troubleshooting. This continually improves and enhances our tools and procedures and results in greater efficiency and effectiveness. Assist other groups within SITA Airport and Desktop Services.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREDBachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent technical discipline related to job descriptionMCSE and a minimum of two years in Active Directory is a must VMWARE deep knowledge Microsoft Registry knowledge CCNA is desired Strong networking operation systems skills -- Windows 2003 MCSA/MCSE. Strong LAN/WAN networking skills -- Knowledge of Vlans, Switched Ethernet technology, router in a stick etc CISCO certifications desired Good knowledge of the OSI layers Good knowledge with the TCP/IP stack. SNMP, DHCP, DNS, FTP, telnet, HTTP, SSL, HTTPS, Good Knowledge of Backup technologies: RAID, Tape Backup, NAS Notions of Java, VBA and windows scripting not essential but highly desired Previous experience with Compaq/HP servers is a plus Knowledge of legacy Air transportation industry communications protocols is a plus Travel required - both domestic and international on a regular basis 5+ years of networking and/or server administration experience.
