Job description:

 

The Systems Operations Analyst III (Help Desk) will design, develop, and support complex information systems as well as plan projects and implements information technology solutions.  In this role you will administer the implementation, support, and improvement of operational procedures, qualify and develop new technology solutions impacting Company subsystems.  Additional responsibilities will include resolving and/or assisting the Analyst II and Help Desk support with technical issues escalated while analyzing trends, such as escalation patterns and frequency of incidents to identify opportunities, increase first call closure rate, thereby increasing customer satisfaction and reducing overall IT costs; have the ability to perform in a high pressure environment and change priorities as deemed necessary to address high value tasks over non value tasks; interface between various support/development teams, internal and external customers, as well as various levels of Management along with the availability for 24/7 on call rotation in support of Global/Critical system issues affecting revenue generating applications or processes. 

 

 

Technical Skills Required:

 Proficiency supporting Microsoft Server technologies such as SQL, Active Directory, DHCP server, Terminal Server.Experience or basic understanding of Linux platforms and services, specifically SAMBA, APACHE, and LDAP/kerberos.Ability to create technical documentation for training as well as defining technical processes and procedures.Experience working in direct support of multi-tier Point-of-Sale systems, preferably in a medium to large retail chain.Working knowledge of Client/Server technologies specific to the installation, maintenance, and support of revenue generating applications, including large scale software distribution deployment tools such as SMS.

 

 

Qualifications:

 Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.Minimum five (5) years experience in systems analysis, design, implementation, and documentation of system solutions.Fundamental knowledge of various subsystems.
