Systems Security Administration Analyst

The Systems Security Administration Analyst is responsible for application level security administration for Jack in the Box Corporate and must possess a high level of customer service skills.  This position provides advanced technical support and problem analysis/resolution for application security and production change management issues in the mainframe and client/server production environments. This position is an expert in active directories and change control.  The Analyst prepares training materials and provides end user training for supported client/server systems and mainframe tools.  This role is responsible for system administration and support for multiple client/server systems, including Vista, Document Management, and Lawson. 

 

As our Systems Security Administration Analyst this position will be responsible for:

? Performs application level security access related tasks on multiple platforms, including user id/password maintenance, directory/file permission administration, Access Control List maintenance, and roles/responsibilities maintenance.  Participates in maintaining adherence to company security policies; evaluates and recommends policy changes; performs departmental information security access audits; prepares access and control reports on all Sarbanes Oxley systems for annual external as well as Internal Audit on demand requests.


 

? Supports client/server based production applications, including: directory and file management, development and maintenance of operational batch files, data base management and other related tasks.  Provides technical support for jobs/software used in chargeback reporting, usage reports, security reports, and resource mapping. Performs system administration tasks for supported systems, including: installing, patching and upgrading application software; writing training materials; planning and leading end-user training classes; researching, analyzing and working with software vendors to resolve system/application issues.

 

? Participates in the development of production process by reviewing additions or modifications to production systems that adhere to coding standards and security guidelines; ensure adequate data backup and recovery.  Troubleshoots and resolves production system failures.

 

? Reviews and approves requests for access to company information in accordance with established standards and procedures; administers and controls access to data and resolves security related issues/problems.

 

? Supports various components associated with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) system, including: defines, maintains and tests EDI applications, transaction maps and trading partner setups; develops and maintains audit reports, EDI policy and standards, and system documentation; and develops and maintains related batch processing.

 

? Evaluates project requirements in coordination with internal and external customers.  Obtains input from customer and designs, tests, and implements programs.  Codes and tests systems using prototyping techniques.  Prepares system and customer documentation.

 

To qualify for this excellent career opportunity, candidates must have:

? Education ? Bachelor?s degree in Business Administration (emphasis in Information Systems), Computer Science, or related field required.

? Experience ? 5-7 years experience in production support and application security administration and/or 2-3 years experience in applications design and programming.  Experience working with Active Directory, PC operating systems and PC software tools (i.e. Microsoft Office, Lotus Suites) in a networked environment.  Must have a working knowledge of application security and change control concepts.

? Skills/Knowledge/Abilities ? Requires excellent oral and written English communication skills and interpersonal skills.  Demonstrated planning, organizational, problem solving/analytical, and project management skills.  Ability to keep up with fast moving technical environment.

? In-depth knowledge of the following: 

? Network Security access controls

? Client/Server applications and UNIX operating system

? One or more PC based programming languages: FoxPro, Visual FoxPro, Visual Basic, PowerBuilder, Delphi; thorough understanding of PC data management and database concepts structures: Informix, Oracle, etc.

  Preferred Skills:

? Oracle Security administration

? MVS/VS mainframe operating systems

? Mainframe tools such as JCL, TSO, RACF or TOP SECRET, TMS, CA11, JESMaster or SDSF, PANVALET, VSAM.

? Thorough understanding of EDI concepts and working knowledge of translation software (i.e. Sterling GENTRAN)
