TECHNICAL SUPPORT TECHNICIAN

Because of client restrictions, CTG can only consider candidates that are U.S. Citizens, or Green Card holders/permanent residents and are willing to work on a W-2 hourly basis.

 

These positions are PART TIME AND ARE 20-26 HOURS A WEEK. They are on-site four days per-week and will require the candidates to be local to Buffalo, NY. Hours can vary from 6:30am until 12:30 or from 08:00am until 2:00 pm

 

CTG, has immediate openings for two part-time P.C. Support Technicians located in Buffalo, NY.

 

In short, the support technicians will respond to inquiries from client users ensuring customer satisfaction through efficient, timely, resourceful, accurate problem resolution.  They will work closely with all levels of staff.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

? Provide Level 1 support and information on the software installation

? Communicate and coordinate problem solving efforts with users, and client level 2 technicians

? Ensure that all problems/solutions are properly documented using standard problem tracking tools (i.e., Remedy)

? Perform other responsibilities as assigned

 

DUTIES

? Receive telephone inquiries regarding problems, log the problem, provide solution and assistance when possible, otherwise, forward to the appropriate people for resolution and provide timely feedback to the user regarding status

? Prioritize user inquiries based on the level of severity

? Document problems and correction procedures

? Escalate to Level 2 personnel if needed

? Perform other duties as required to fulfill responsibilities

 

QUALIFICATIONS

? Associate's degree in computer science or MIS, or equivalent experience

? Minimum 3-12 months experience in MIS in a Helpdesk environment

? Competent troubleshooting and problem solving skills

 

PREFERED

 

? Candidates with Microsoft or A+ Certifications are preferred
