TRAINING MANAGER, IT EXCELLENCE
Job Responsibilities:
Business Management Charter new IT Excellence learning group to deliver a
worldclass IT training program by developing business strategy, objectives and
services framework. Develop and implement learning solutions to ensure that
Global Shared Services IT employees have access to cost effective training
programs, vendors, and materials to develop their skills, expertise and
knowledge. Seeks information about learning needs, and either matches these to
available products or services or proposes customized solutions. Translates
learning needs into discreetachievable projects with measurable operational
goals and objectives, includingIT rolebased training, competency development,
and sustainable program curricula. Captures and documents client requirements,
contacts, conversations, products, initiatives, etc. towards future business
development. Effectively contracts with clients and provides appropriate follow
up to ensure accountability. Client Management Effectively manages IT
stakeholders and project scope, conducting weekly planning and projectrelated
meetings, and communicating project status to peers, clients, management and
other teams. Develops and maintains Stakeholder Management Plan to monitor
client satisfaction, needs and action plans. Financial Management Understands
financial principles and effectively follows accruals, projections, and
chargeback processes that result in accurate financial management and
reporting. Ensures that invoices, service orders, and purchase orders
areproperly submitted, managed and tracked. Product Development Management
Estimates the time and resource requirements necessary to design, develop and
implement solutions. Partners with Learning Administration Services, Courseware
Development and Enterprise Learning Architecture groups to ensure holistic
learning solution is designed and delivered to clients. Leverages inhouse
learning tools, technical knowledge, and manages IT training vendors. Project

Job Requirements/Education:
Bachelors in Business Administration, Information Technology, Education,
Instruction Design or related field. Masters preferred. Industry background in
a worldclass IT organization andor pharmaceutical IT organization. Preference
for instructional design background and experience developing IT skills and
systems training. Applies process view of best practice instructional design
methodology. Can identify and prescribe appropriate blended delivery solutions.
Preference for SAP andor other IT systems implementations background. Strong
project management skills, including stakeholder management, communications,
financials, risk management, team management, and workplan management. Can
manage program projects from intake to evaluation. Strong stakeholder
management skills, including needs identification and scope, communications
planning, risk mitigation, and best learning practices consultation able to
work across client groups. Excellent business writing skills able to write SOP,
scope requirements, business strategy, learning strategies, business processes,
as well as, stakeholder communications, presentations and meeting agendas.
Excellent meeting workshop facilitation skills able to facilitate stakeholder
interviews, audience analysis workshop, designand development workshop,
technical walkthroughs and pilot. Strong coaching skills, able to develop
project teams and build strong community spirit.
